Career development Cell(CDC) & CDC - Research

Career Development Cell

The Career Development Cell is the student body in IIT Madras entrusted with the career development activities of UG and PG students. The activities undertaken by the CDC include hosting career development and networking sessions, helping in resume and interview preparation and publishing preparatory material. In addition to helping students prepare for placements and internships, the CDC is also concerned with preparing students for higher studies and competitive exams like UPSC CSE.

The CDC oversees the umbrella of career-oriented clubs in IITM, including the Case Club, the Finance Club and the No-Code Club.

Participating in Career Development workshops provides students with the opportunity to connect with a varied group of mentors comprising accomplished entrepreneurs and experience professionals. This exposure enables students to acquire a diverse set of skills, knowledge, and resources essential for success in today’s professional landscape.

The centralized services through the Career Pathway Centre aim to channelize the process, providing students with comprehensive training, networking opportunities, exposure to entrepreneurial ventures, and an overall enhancement of employability.
