IIT Madras is strictly opposed to any form of ragging, hazing, or abuse of power, whether
physical, verbal, or sexual. Students are required to sign an anti-ragging pledge when they
join the institute. Any student accused of ragging will be investigated and, if found
guilty, face repercussions up to expulsion.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a revised advisory regarding students'
anti-ragging.
Students may fill in the online undertaking against anti-ragging at antiragging.in/affidavit_registration_disclaimer.html.
